If canon, canon point: N/A

Superhero Name: Cazadora
History: -Some years ago, Dolores had a job as hired muscle for a shipping company. Basically someone who moves the heavy stuff. Sometimes this meant also being intimidating, as said company had a questionable reputation at best, and a lot of nasty people wanted in on their money. So who else to run off thugs than the six foot brick house? She made herself rather indispensable this way, and was considered a very valuable asset. Enough that some bigger corporations took notice.
-One such corporation bought out the small shipping company, with nefarious intentions - namely, staging an attack on the workers that appeared to be orchestrated by a rival and wrecking Dolores enough that her arms and legs became useless. This gave her prior boss and the new overseers a chance to look like saviors to their notable employee, granting her reconstructive surgery and top-of-the-line cybernetic prosthetics, making her stronger than she had been before.
-Her reputation bounced back and flourished now that she had even less trouble trouncing thugs. This turned into good rep for the merged companies, and for a time, things seemed to be going pretty okay, outside of the trauma that came with getting the shit kicked out of you.
-All was not well, though. The prosthetics were simply a trial run for a bigger project. One night, Dolores is taken in her sleep, prevented from fighting thanks to a remote trigger shutting her limbs down. She is taken to an underground facility, where the next several weeks become a blur of pain and hallucinations. She's reported as dead in the world she was taken from.
-When she regains lucidity, nothing feels the same. There's far too much metal in her now, and things in her head tell her to obey. A switch is flipped by a man in a labcoat, and her body seizes and changes. Her vision changes. She feels taller, and her hands, they are the hands of a monster. A very confused monster, whose anger and displacement overtake the commands in her mind.
-The facility is shut down in the wake of her escape. There are a lot of dead, and those who survive transfer to a different location, and begin procedures to start hunting her down. Her coworkers are taken as the first assortment - having gained similar, but lower-grade cybernetics to take after their star coworker. They are reported dead, and remade with a less grand scope. Glorified footsoldiers.
-Dolores finds herself chased, hunted, and unable to stay in one place for long before someone comes after her, trying to take this grand experiment back. It always ends the same - a dead squad of hitmen, or hitmonsters. Sometimes she winds up saving locals from getting caught in this. They're usually more terrified of her than grateful, though.
Additional OC and AU Background: Dolores' world is a fairly bog-standard cyberpunk setting. Lots of big corporations doing shady shit, cybernetic enhancements of varying degrees everywhere. Androids. Discussions on if cyborgs are still human. Rumors that people get taken in their sleep to become enforcers for corporations and politicians. Old tales about kidnapped civilians turned heroes against their captors.
Personality: At her core, Dolores is very tired. Her life was pretty okay until things all went to shit, and she just wants to be able to relax again. Carry some boxes, get a paycheck, maybe rough up some overenthusastic upstarts who think they can pressure her boss into paying 'protection fees'. Now all she feels like is eternally on the run. Can't sleep too deep, might not hear someone trying to get the drop on her. It's made her twitchy, and hurt her ability to trust easily. That aside, she's still loyal to those she does trust, and there's a big soft spot in her for trying to keep people that aren't involved in her mess safe.
Dolores also harbors a small, flickering spark of hope. Hope that this stuff she's going through will end someday, even if she has to make it happen herself. While her hope is small, her desire for revenge is a comparative inferno. She wants to tear apart the company that ruined her life brick-by-brick, not just for herself, but her other coworkers. She specifically wants to find her old boss that sold them all out and show him what it feels like to have everything taken from him.
Some people say that she reminds them of heroes of old that stood up to the corruption of the world. She wouldn't call herself a hero, even if she does fight that corruption where she can. In her mind, heroes do things nice, and clean. She gets dirty and bloody and gets things done. Evil doesn't deserve to have someone try and haul it out of the darkness to her. She feels you lost that privlege the moment you hurt an innocent.
Canon Powers: Cybernetic Enhancements: Grants her enhanced strength and speed.
Transformation: Grants temporary enhanced durability, changing her body into a form suited for combat. Can cause a berserker state when she goes against the orders programmed into her.
Electrical Surge: Generates electrical fields and bursts from her body for combat use.
Game powers: 2-Power set -
Cybernetic Enhancements: Grants her enhanced strength and speed.
Transformation: Grants temporary enhanced durability, changing her body into a form suited for combat. Can cause a berserker state when she goes against the orders programmed into her.
Abilities: Street Fighting: Dolores has a long history of fighting to get by in a city full of criminals and jerks with too much free time.
Setting: It's going to take her some time to adjust to the fact that she can actually relax, and that people probably aren't going to see her as a monster here. There will be some issues regarding the whole inability to kill thing, and as such she'll probably need some help with someone who can get the bullshit orders out of her head, or find some way to disable her berserker state. If she can think clearly, she can be better about not killing people. I hope that she'll embrace the idea of being a hero after a point.
SAMPLES
Prose Sample: 200 word minimum. You may use a test drive thread, use the following prompt, or make up your own. Links to RP samples at other games are not accepted, you must either use a Test Drive thread or write up a new prompt, but you may use samples at other games to supplement your samples. If your character is a quiet character, introspection or inner monologue is fine.
Your character is with the team at a fancy diplomatic party and a UP dignitary (Coluan, naturally, because man, that whole planet seems to be chock fill of arrogant dicks) has called into question the character's ability to be a Legionnaire and whether or not they, some weirdo interdimensional stranger, have the personal character to help protect the United Planets. How do they respond?
Network Sample: 200 word minimum. You may use the following prompt, or make up your own. Links to RP samples at other games are not accepted, you must write up a new prompt, but you may use samples at other games to supplement your samples. Since the test drives rarely use network format, you cannot use a test drive thread for the network sample, only the prose sample. If your character is a quiet character, introspection or inner monologue is fine.
Welcome to the Legion, rookie. As a way of helping your character cope with their circumstances and have an optimistic outlook towards the future, the existing Legionnaires want them to record a message to their future self with their thoughts on their current situation, what they hope to accomplish in their time with the Legion, and the first thing they want to do when they get sent safely home or to the dimension of their choice.
